    • Was a Private in the Company commanded by Captain Allen A Hamilton in the Mounted Regiment of Kentucky Volunteers commanded by Colonel Richard M Johnson in the War of 1812. He volunteered on August 16

      , 1813 for a term of six months and continued in actual service in said war for a period of three months and was honorably discharged at Port William, Kentucky (now Carrollton) on November 20, 1813. H
